Information > Episode Guide > Dark Tournament Saga > Episode 40 "Jin, the Wind Master" :: Yusuke is the only one left on his team able to fight, and he has to face the two strongest members of Team Masho all alone. Jin is up in the sky looking around the island and knows that he must beat Urameshi to get the island. Jin dives down at Yusuke, but veers to the side and starts circling the ring. Yusuke jumps at Jin and takes a punch in the face, but then counters with a kick. However his kick was unsucessful and Jin knocks Yusuke back. Jin realizes how crazy Yusuke is but is still looking forward to the fight. Yusuke gets back up and Jin tells Yusuke that Yusuke and himself are similar because they don't listen to their masters. Kuwabara sees that Yusuke has finally found someone like him and is having fun. Jin decides to show Yusuke something he made up on his own. He starts rotating his arm and creates a Tornado on his arm. Jin calls it his Tornado Fist and it looks bad for Yusuke. Jin runs at Yusuke and throws a punch which Yusuke barely dodges. Still the wind causes Yusuke to go flying in to the wall at the edge of the stadium floor. Jin flies at Yusuke again and Yusuke is able to jump aside and Jin takes out a number of demons in thw audience. Butajiri, Team Masho's owner starts laughing about how he scammed the fight and asks if Sakyo made a bet. Sakyo tells him that he doesn't take chances, he is just well informed. Back in the ring Jin is about to summon another Tornado Fist when Yusuke charges at him with a barrage of punches. Jin and Yusuke are jumping around the ring and very few can even see them, even Kuwabara is unable to see their movements. After blocking all of Yusuke's punches Jin takes a punch to the stomach and Yusuke tries to finish him off with another punch. But before Yusuke can throw the punch, Jin flies up in the air. Botan yells at Koto to count Jin out because flying is out of the ring, but Koto knows the rules and flying is legal. Jin rests in the air for a bit, and Yusuke fires his Spirit Gun. Jin is barely able to recover but summons a shield of wind which carries Yusuke's Spirit Gun blast in to the sky. Everyone is amazed at how quickly Jin reacted and the power that was able to stop the Spirit Gun. Jin starts laughing because any attack that has to travel through the air can be manipulated by him. The demons in the audience start cheering for Jin and Jin is having a really great time in the fight. Koenma sees how desperate the situation is but doesn't see anyway that Yusuke can win. Jin can use his wind powers for offense and defense which is a scary combination. The masked fighter tells Hiei that the Spirit Gun will work, but Yusuke will have to put himself at great risk to make it happen. Hiei reassures her that risking his life is the only constant strategy Yusuke uses. Yusuke seems to know what the masked fighter and Hiei know, because as Jin charges Yusuke with the Tornado Fist Yusuke isn't backing down. Yusuke charges up his Spirit Gun and Jin sees what he is doing. Yusuke fires his Spirit Gun point blank at Jin and the energy envelops the whole arena. Both fighters are nowhere to be found, until Yusuke is spotted outside the ring. Then Jin is found up in the sky and starts screaming about how crazy Yusuke is. Yusuke is pissed that no one died and Hiei tells him that Jin saw him coming and used his wind to send most of the blast upward saving both their lives. Hiei asks Yusuke is he has a better plan, and Yusuke tells him he doesn't have a clue, but something will come to him in the end. Hiei then tells Yusuke that if he is killed he will be taking Yusuke spot. Ruka tells Hiei that even if he were able to escape it would be illegal for him to fight anyway. Hiei tells her his power has returned and anyone who will get in his way will have to deal with him. Yusuke jumps back in the ring and tells Hiei that he will be taking on the leader as soon as he defeats Jin. Jin decides to give it all he's got and summons a Tornado Fist on each arm. Yusuke realizes there is no way he can deflect both blasts with his Spirit Gun, a Spirit Grenade Launcher maybe but not the Spirit Gun. Yusuke knows what he has to do and it is his only choice, even if he doesn't know how to use it. Yusuke takes an odd stance and his body starts to glow with energy. The masked fighter sees that Yusuke is trying to use Genkai's Spirit Wave. She also knows he used elements of it in his training but he never fully mastered it. The move could compete with Jin, but also destroy Yusuke's body from within. Koenma sees the Spirit Wave stance as well but he remembers that Yusuke told him he hadn't learned it yet. Besides those few no one knows what Yusuke is doing but they do know that he has a history for surprises. Jin sees the power that Yusuke is emitting and is getting excited. He charges at Yusuke and now it's the final attack for each fighter. Will Yusuke be able to pull off the Spirit Wave, or be destroyed from within? All content is © 2003, Maze Castle.
