Toguro Returns (Apr. 8, 03) The Toguros Brothers are alive and deliver a message to Yusuke and his friends that they must enter the Dark Tournament or die. Yusuke trains with Genkai and the others train in a forest. They then all meet and depart for the Dark Tournament on a boat. How will Team Urameshi fare against the toughest demons in Spirit World? 27. The Dark Tournament Begins (Apr. 9, 03) On a boat Team Urameshi wins the preliminaries, but has to kill all the other demons in a battle royale. Once this is done they check in to their hotel at Hanging Neck Island. The next morning the Dark Tournament begins and they face Team Rokuyukai in the first match of the Dark Tournament. 28. First Fight (Apr. 10, 03) Kuwabara steps in the ring first against Rinku of the Rokuyukai Team. But Rinku is more than an ordinary demon boy. And when he pulls out his toys, Rinku is playing a game of life or death... with his opponents. Can Kuwabara survive this match and take home a victory for the team? 29. Flowers of Blood (Apr. 11, 03) Kuwabara finishes his match with Rinku and shows his ability to move his Spirit Sword any direction at will, but still loses. Kurama takes the next fight against Roto, and Roto uses Kurama's mother as his trump card. Will Kurama be able to defeat Roto and save his mother? 30. Dragon of the Darkness Flame (Apr. 14, 03) Zeru and Hiei both step in to the ring. After some impressive fireworks from Zeru, Hiei is scorched and assumed dead. But as Zeru starts to leave the ring Hiei gets back up and his Jagan Eye had saved him. Now the Jagan Eye is testing out a new attack, the Dragon of the Darkness Wave. 31. Stumbling Warrior (Apr. 15, 03) The real team leader of the Rokuyukai Team is revealed to be Chu, and now Yusuke is finally awake to fight him. Chu is no ordinary drunk and he proves his powers against the Spirit Detective, but with three more months of training with Genkai behind his back, Yusuke has some new tricks. 32. Knife Edge Death-Match (Apr. 16, 03) Yusuke and Chu are in a stalemate so Chu offers to settle it with a Knife Edge Death-Match. Yusuke accepts but the tournament committee denies the request. Sakyo takes care of the committee and the brutal battle begins. Can Yusuke beat Chu at his own game? 33. A Day in Waiting (Apr. 17, 03) Everyone has a day to rest after their first round fight and they need it. Yusuke realizes he can't fire his Spirit Gun, and Hiei is in agony as he is trying to regain the use of his damaged arm. The tournament continues and with round two soon begining, Team Urameshi fights Team Ichigaki. 34. Percentage of Victory (Apr. 18, 03) The next round is about to begin, but as Hiei and Kurama are making their way to the ring, they are ambushed by two of Ichigaki's men. At the ring, the fight goes on anyway with each team having three fighters. The masked fighter is doing well, but Yusuke and Kuwabara are having trouble. 35. Glimpse Beneath the Mask (Apr. 21, 03) Yusuke and his team are having trouble with the three mind controlled humans of Ichigaki. The masked fighter ends up taking a hit for Yusuke and Kuwabara and gets blown back in to the stands. When she comes back her mask has fallen off, Kuwabara also refuses to fight so how will Yusuke do it alone? 36. Ambition Destroyed: A Trial By Light (Apr. 22, 03) Yusuke is left having to kill the humans, who turns out are innocent. But as he is about to the masked fighter stops him and seemingly kills them herself. Then Ichigaki uses a potion to morph his body and decides to take on Yusuke himself. 37. Master of Disguise (Apr. 23, 03) The next round begins immediately after the Ichigaki fight, and Hiei and the Masked Fighter are ruled unfit to fight. With Kuwabara also injured, Kurama and Yusuke must take the entire team on all alone. Kurama fights Gama but when Gama paralyzes Kurama can Kurama win? 38. Kurama's Stand (Apr. 24, 03) Kurama won his first fight but now he is immobilized and cannot use his Spirit Energy. He faces Touya, the true master of ice. Even when Kurama gets his mobility back there is little he can do. With all odds against him Kurama decides to take a stand. 39. Crushing Revenge (Apr. 25, 03) Kurama defeated Touya but is now unconscious. He is being beaten by Bakken, until Yusuke and Hiei threaten to blow up the whole island. Yusuke has to face a Shinobi with the power of mist to get some anger out. 40. Jin, the Wind Master (Apr. 28, 03) Yusuke must face Jin, a master of wind. Yusuke keeps trying to attack Jin, but when all of his moves fail, he starts getting desperate. Even the Spirit Gun fails to harm Jin thanks to his power of wind. So Yusuke prepares to use the Spirit Wave.
